Have a minute and thought I'd post. Baby is down for his nap. I'm taking this time to catch up on some much needed writing.
We went for a walk this morning. Wore me out, but I think in the long run it will be worth all the tiredness I feel. I've got to get my bio ready and sent to one of my editors. Waiting to hear from another and need to email yet another.
For the past year and a half, I have basically taken time off. I don't regret it at all. But now I am starting over. The good thing is I know a whole lot more than I did all those years ago. Another good thing is writing allows you to take time off, and then start again if you need too. Granted that lapse is not great, but it's there if one needs to do it. I've kept writing for Writer's Digest and a few other houses, but now (deep breath) it's time to get started and branch out.
With that said, I've got to get to work. So do you.
Until Next Time, Keep Writing!

We have arrived in Colorado. The weather is nice. The grandbaby loves it up here. He goes outside and watches all the people and animals. Today from the front porch, we watched a badger chase a ground squirrel across the neighborhood.
Later in the week I plan to get some writing done. I've got some ideas I've been kicking around for quite a while and want to get on them. I will.
I have been reading (again) "Techniques of the Selling Writer". I have learned some things about one of the books. I will write about it later.
Currently, I've got to put my grandbaby to night-night.
Until next time. Keep writing.

Have watched another couple episodes of 'America's Got Talent'. There are so many talented people out there. I keep wondering why many of them haven't been discovered. They should have been. So many wonderful stories, so many people who want to make it at what they enjoy doing. Just like writers.
We struggle everyday to get our work noticed just like those contestants struggle to get their talent noticed. No matter how terrible they are, or how old, they walk out on that stage and do their thing. One's got to admire that. That takes a lot of guts.
Writers need to have just as much. When we send out our manuscripts, it shows we have guts too. We just have to keep sending them out until we're noticed.
Think about it.
Until next time, keep writing.
